Shopping My Own Closet

As I opened another shipment full of clothes my partner sighed and said, “You have an addiction.”

“I knoooow,” I replied. I love to shop and sometimes I forget what’s in my closet.

After binge-shopping Black Friday deals, I’ve been thinking about all the things I already have in my closet.

Sometimes I forget to dive into the walk-in closet I share with my partner and take the time to put together outfits. I have so many pieces that could easily be combined, I honestly just forget to shop my own closet sometimes. It’s easy to get caught up in wanting the latest pieces and I so frequently find myself browsing Instagram and deciding I need something.

This outfit was put together by pulling out two pieces I don’t wear enough: the velvet bodysuit & this lovely duster vest from Topshop I picked up two years ago.

As we roll into the new year, I’m trying to be mindful of my shopping, financial goals, and what my partner & I want to do next year in terms of travel and home improvement projects.

For now I’m trying to enjoy the cozy holiday season and catch up on my holiday activities. I’ve been sick for the past week, my parents came to visit over the weekend, and I haven’t had any time to do my baking or work on a boozy holiday drink post I’ve been planning for a few weeks.

Honestly, I picked a terrible time to fall ill but there’s not a whole lot I can do besides take care of myself.

I hope everyone is having a lovely holiday season!

xx
