Seattle Day Trips: Bainbridge Island

My parents recently came to visit for the weekend from Phoenix. They lived in Washington for most of my life and when we would visit Seattle from Spokane, we’d always take a ferry ride across the sound. Most of the time we’d get to the other side & just walk back on.

This visit though, we went and ventured into Bainbridge.

For lunch we had delicious fish & chips at the Harbor Public House. Then got some warm beverages at Pegasus Coffeehouse, which is super cute and I definitely want to visit again. After we hopped over to the main drag to do some shopping.

Churchmouse Yarn & Teas had some of the most amazing yarn I have ever seen. So cozy and high quality. Definitely recommend checking that out if you are someone who likes to knit or crochet.

We had to head back to catch the ferry rather quickly so we quickly checked out one more shop where we found some adorable Christmas tree ornaments and then left.

I definitely want to visit again and check out some more of the shops & restaurant options. The town is walkable from the ferry, but we drove since it was about 40 degrees and raining.

It’s a perfect little day trip if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Seattle.

xoxo
Steph
