One last heatwave in September means summer is extended.
I’ve been busy and I’ve been missing blogging. I blog about tech things over on my technical blog but I’ve been missing style blogging and sharing outfits for the sake of sharing outfits. Without the hustle of making sure every single item is linked so others can shop outfits. I’ve also struggled with whether to keep updating this blog or move to a new space and start over. I bought a URL and posted a few travel related posts but I think this space still fits in a different way.

I’ve had a period of time to decompress after being laid off this year and figure out what brings me joy.
I find myself with a bit wistful nostalgia, thinking of the early 2010s in Seattle. There was a vibrant fashion community, fashion and art events, and there was a group of people I ran around with to events and openings. I didn’t know at the time how special that was. It was before social media and influencer blogging took hold, and it was different.
I don’t think it’s possible to go back to that feeling in Seattle in the 2010s, but I know what I can do. I can just blog. And keep blogging and share my style because it makes me happy. And that’s all that matters in the end.
I moved to Berlin earlier this year, was laid off 4 months later from the job that moved me there, and am now making plans to join my soon to be husband in the UK. I need to get settled, get another freelance project in the pipeline, and find a full time job, but as I do that, I think I’ll start to blog again. Here, in this space.
Perhaps it’s why I was never ready to let this blog go, it’s been my creative home for so long. I just needed to rediscover what about it makes me happy again.
