Though it’s November and not nearly as cold as it should be for this time of year, it’s still chilly enough that I’ve pulled out my collection of cozy faux fur and faux shearling teddy bear coats because they’re the only coats I want to wear in the late fall and winter.
It took quite a bit of self control while I was in London to not scoop up a few of the full length teddy bear coats I saw. Only because I didn’t have space in my luggage….and I really didn’t want to be the person who had to buy a whole new piece of luggage for her purchases after leaving half a suitcase empty for that exact purpose.
There are so many different styles of faux fur teddy bear coats this year, it’s a cozy fiend’s dream (and I am a cozy fiend.) If you’re more partial to neutral colored coats, there’s plenty of those, and if you want to stand out from the crowd, there’s certainly a large selection of bold colors and patterns to choose from.
In other news, it feels good to be home with no large travel plans for work. As mundane as some tasks can be, I find some comfort in sorting through my piles of laundry to put things away, while cleaning up areas of the house that I haven’t touched since September. My dogs are happy I’m home, though I suspect my pomeranian is more concerned with me being home than the border collie.
Most of all I’m looking forward to pulling out the Christmas (Yule) decor and making my home cozy & festive for the holidays, even though weather wise it still feels like early October. (I selfishly want frost and snow because my garlic has already started sprouting. Hmph.)
For all my US readers, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I can’t wait to put myself in a food coma, that’s for sure.
