Things are finally slowing down in terms of my work travel (except not, because I’m busy all the way to Thanksgiving with a combo of work trips & personal travel). I feel like I’ve been on the go since late August. I just returned from nearly a week in New York City and autumn has officially arrived in the Seattle area: the sun is gone and the rain is here.
All the rain we get over the next 6 months means shoes that keep your feet dry and cozy are essential here. I created a guide for spring rain boots a year and a half ago and it’s one of my most visited posts when autumn rolls around.
I tend to be a Sorel and UGG boot gal when it gets cold. If my feet are wet and cold, I’m miserable and can’t get warm. My Sorels have been a staple of my autumn and winter wardrobe the past few years. Their women’s rain boots are perfect for the pacific northwest and our somewhat laid back style and I love a wedge boot too.
Now that Halloween is past, I’m anxiously awaiting Thanksgiving (and Friendsgiving), and am excited we get an extra week to enjoy Christmas decor! This is the coziest time of year and despite the dreary weather, I love having a fireplace and just owning a home in general. I’ve been baking so many seasonal items to keep busy. It’s been lovely!
What do you do to stay cozy during this time of year?
