After Christmas

Christmas has come and gone and I’m currently basking in the laziness of having a week off from work. It’s glorious.

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday whether you celebrate Christmas or Yule or another holiday this time of year. My partner and I spent the weekend in Orondo (Eastern Washington) at his parents home for Christmas. Our only excursion out was for brunch on Christmas Eve. The rest of the weekend was spent eating so much good food and watching movies while hanging out with fur babies and family.

I got my white Christmas but it even snowed back home in Seattle, so no matter where I was I would have gotten my white Christmas either way. It was bitter cold, the lowest temperature I saw on the thermometer was 8 degrees. Brrr. I still ran outside on Christmas to shoot these photos in the snow. I love nothing more than taking photos out in Ryan’s parents’ orchard by the river.

If you’re looking for a high quality knit pom pom hat like I have on in a lot of my posts recently, you can actually shop the exact same hat online at Dunedin Cashmere. I bought this black hat and a grey one while in Edinburgh and they’re my two favorite winter hats now. The quality of the knit just doesn’t compare to anything I’ve bought in the U.S. and they keep you incredibly warm.

Shop my black knit beanie here. It’s actually on sale right now too. It’s totally worth it!
