And so begins a new era of my blog: homeownership. After months of searching, realizing where we wanted to be, being slaughtered by competition in multiple offers, we finally got our home. (And heeelloooo new shiny, err, well, green outfit of the day backdrops!) I’ve honestly never been so excited to go to Home Depot, or West Elm and Home Goods. I’m dreaming of patio furniture and the moment I can sit outside in a lounge chair with my Kindle and a glass of rosé. My goal is to make that happen before the end of the summer.…
August always makes me feel dreamy, and as I’ve said before, I think it’s the romantic in me. I have an idea of what August, September and October should look and feel like. August hits, and (normally) there’s a slight chill when the wind blows, the light is an deep orange, indicating the earth is tilting away from the sun. Autumn is on the way, but summer still clings to the air. I hoard my Nordstrom anniversary sale purchases, waiting until it’s September to break out the autumn gear I bought. Oh how I love this time of the year.…
