Spring is a time of annoyance for me when it comes to dressing for the day. I’m ready for warm weather and sandals yet the mornings start out in the low 30s and climb to warmer temps in the day.
Spring Layers
So layers are my friend: dusters, light cardigans, maybe a sweater over a dress, anything to keep me warm in the morning and late evening. A good chunk of my closet is neutral colors and pieces that are more for autumn with a few items that feel more spring-ish. I try to combine the autumn pieces, like a black or grey sweater, with one of the spring pieces for a seasonal look.
I found this duster jacket at Topshop in the autumn and the baby blue color is actually a perfect transition color for the spring!

Sunday Musings
Speaking of spring, one of the garden beds has been assembled and filled with dirt! It took more than half the order of dirt from Home Depot that I had delivered. We did get one of the smaller beds filled partially, and have about 10 bags left but will need more dirt for the second 4 x 12 foot garden bed.
I’m trying to get what I can prepped for the garden because Mid-April through May is going to be crazy for me in regards to work and travel.
Happy Sunday!
