Every time I go to visit my parents in Mesa, AZ, I always want to spend a day in Scottsdale.…

Velvet, unicorns and sherpa coats, oh my!…
I’ve fallen back in love with combat boots and plaid style pairings.…
My partner & I are finally settling into our new home, settling also comes with realizing the work around the home will never end, and I’m itching to start decorating for autumn even though it still doesn’t quite feel like autumn will ever come.…
And so begins a new era of my blog: homeownership. After months of searching, realizing where we wanted to be, being slaughtered by competition in multiple offers, we finally got our home. (And heeelloooo new shiny, err, well, green outfit of the day backdrops!) I’ve honestly never been so excited to go to Home Depot, or West Elm and Home Goods. I’m dreaming of patio furniture and the moment I can sit outside in a lounge chair with my Kindle and a glass of rosé. My goal is to make that happen before the end of the summer.…
August always makes me feel dreamy, and as I’ve said before, I think it’s the romantic in me. I have an idea of what August, September and October should look and feel like. August hits, and (normally) there’s a slight chill when the wind blows, the light is an deep orange, indicating the earth is tilting away from the sun. Oh how I love this time of the year.…

The courtyard outside our flat was also extremely picturesque. It was so cold in Scotland I had to buy a hat. It was Seattle winter cold. It wasn’t even that cold when I was there in October. On one of our last nights in the city, I broke out this vintage military style jacket I found at Portobello Market in London (another post on that soon!) and ran around with my sister taking photos before dinner.…
It’s not that I get lazy in the winter when it comes to style. My winter outfits seem to get progressively cozier because I can’t stand the cold.…
A few days after the US election, in my daze, I had a very clear moment of, “fuck this, I’m stressed. I know what I want that’ll make me feel better.” Because in this case it was the only thing I could think of that would help alleviate some of my anxiety. I popped over to Rag & Bone and I bought this sweater.…
Lots of travel and running around happen this time of the year. For trips over Snoqualmie and Blewett Passes, I’ve accepted that Uggs are essential for me starting in late September. I stay warm & that’s all that matters. I wore tennis shoes once and I’m surprised my feet didn’t fall off, they were that frozen.…
