I’m getting very bored with winter. A few days ago it was sunny and in the mid-50s here in the Seattle area and it felt delightfully like spring. On an excursion after brunch, my partner and I stopped at Home Depot and I beelined straight for the seeds (I’m very anxious to start a garden), and upon checking the seed packets discovered everything should be planted in May around here.
Hmph. Foiled for the time being and a nice reminder that it is still January.
But, let’s move on and talk about these velvet palazzo pants.
Shop the Post
I’m the skinny jean queen if you will. 90% of the pants I own are skinny legged and what I’m most comfortable in. I’ve been eyeing the wide-legged pant that is currently in style with somewhat of a forlorn look, assuming I’d be lost in fabric so I haven’t tried them until recently.
But I was wrong, paired with some high high-heeled boots and a cropped bralette, I like the extra volume the legs of pants give you. They’re wide enough that it’s almost like a skirt from the right angle. I’m guessing it’s the deep emerald velvet too, but I feel a little bit like a witch in this outfit and I love that.
I love this outfit and I’ve actually been holding onto sharing it…which seems silly but I haven’t had time to take too many photos and when I put this outfit together I instantly fell in love, even if it is winter here in Seattle. We have a mild winter so it works.
Cheers,
Stephanie
