Outfit: Bell Sleeved Sweater & Plaid Flare Trousers

I never seem to be in the right place at the right time whether it be for sales or missed Comic Con appearances, I feel like I tend to always find out about something well after the fact. I was in Target for a completely different item. I wasn’t going to go look at clothes…well it wouldn’t hurt to peek.…

Outfit: Velvet Pants and Plaid Duster Coat

I love a long flowy cardigan or duster jacket. Maybe it’s because it faintly reminds me of Doctor Who or that I just like spinning around in flowy pieces of clothing. Regardless, this Free People plaid duster paired with some velvet pants just screams autumn and winter to me.…

Spring But Dark

Last June I was wandering through Spitalfields in London checking out the various vintage & upcycled clothing shops when I descended down a few steps into The Vintage Market on Brick Lane. What I came upon was a vast underground market of individual booths full of so many different kinds of vintage clothing.…

Witchy Woman: the Imperfect Details

The day before the Seattle Style Summit this year, my partner and I were at brunch while I was lamenting over my nerves. Not necessarily social anxiety nerves, but something I’ve always struggled with: fitting in. Scrolling through the Instagrams of other Seattle style bloggers leaves me feeling out of place at times. I don’t really consider myself extremely feminine and have always been drawn to the darker, edgier side of style.…

Outfit: Strangelove, Strange Highs and Strange Lows

Spring is starting to peek it’s head about and I’m desperately trying to will the warm weather into existence. I’m so ready for rosé on the patio! And honestly spring and summer outfits. I’ve re-embraced my love of alternative style lately, perhaps it’s all the Depeche Mode I’ve been listening to, but I’m excited to tie in spring pieces with a bit of a darker flare.…

Outfit: Sliding Into Spring

I’m currently being harassed by one very twacky border collie because the sun is out and she knows exactly what that means. Play time. She is one of the most intelligent creatures I’ve ever met, and sometimes that can be the most annoying thing about her. Because she really does know that sunshine means we will be outside. It’s not raining and as soon as she’s up in the morning and had her breakfast, she goes about terrorizing the house until everyone is up.…

Barbie Sweatshirt

Ever since the Barbie x Missguided collection dropped months ago, I’ve been obsessed. I loved loved loved Barbie growing up. So of course I pounced on some items out of nostalgic reasons and my favorite item has to be this Barbie sweatshirt dress.…

Velvet Blazer

I’ve always wanted to wear blazers, but every time I put one on and look in the mirror, it just doesn’t quite feel right. Maybe it just feels too formal or too preppy, but every time I’ve bought one, it’s ended up in the donation bin or given to a friend.…

Keep Me Warm In the Winter Light

I’m getting very bored with winter. A few days ago it was sunny and in the mid-50s here in the Seattle area and it felt delightfully like spring. On an excursion after brunch, my partner and I stopped at Home Depot and I beelined straight for the seeds (I’m very anxious to start a garden), and upon checking the seed packets discovered everything should be planted in May around here. Hmph. Foiled for the time being and a nice reminder that it is still January. But, let’s move on and talk about these velvet palazzo pants.…
